Anthony H. Holliday Jr

Vice President

is a Delray Beach native, son of a high school principal and a first grade teacher. He attended Carver High School and Prairie View A& M in Texas, and was a member of its a cappella concert choir. He still loves to sing and is a current member of The Ebony Chorale of the Palm Beaches.

After a brief stint as a high schoolteacher, Anthony was commissioned as an officer of probation & parole in Dade County, Miami, Florida. This was followed by University of Miami School of Law. After law school, he was hired as an assistant professor of criminal justice at Florida Atlantic University.

Anthony became intrigued by labor law and went on to earn a master’s degree in it from Georgetown University. It was there in Washington D. C. that he first became part of Unity, at theUnity Center of Christianity, where, after a few years in the congregation, he served as chairman of the board of directors.

Anthony’s diverse career also includes serving as a labor relations advisor with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the Department of the Navy and the Federal Labor Relations Authority. Additionally, he has taught doctoral, graduate, and undergraduate students at Florida Atlantic University, Howard University, University of Maryland, University of the District of Columbia, and Fielding Graduate University, where he also served as faculty trustee for the university’s board of trustees.

Currently, he is president of The Holliday Consulting Group, LLC. Among their services are conflict resolution, mediation, managing diversity and inclusion, critical thinking, academic writing, anger management, leadership and change, curriculum development and education. Anthony is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity International, Inc.

He recently married Renee Wells and has one daughter, two stepsons, seven grandchildren and 6 ½ great grandchildren. He loves to sing, fish, study metaphysics, pray, and meditate. He feels his purposes in life are educating and peacemaking.

Over the years, he has learned that “Life is not about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain.”
